1. Miracles from
Heaven
- Do you believe in miracles? Regardless if you believe or not, this movie is definitely worth watching. It was based on
a true story of the Beam family who had faced a very life- changing moment of
their lives after Anna (Christy and Kevin’s daughter) was diagnosed with a rare
digestive disease. This story will make you believe that miracles do happens even in the smallest of things.

2. The Prince of
Egypt-
an animated film directed by Brenda Chapman, Steve Hickner, Simon Wells. It was
an adaptation of the book of Exodus. It follows the journey of Moses in
fulfilling the will of God. This film is a great testament of faith which gives
credit to the saving works of God.
3. The Pursuit of
Happyness
– a drama film directed by Gabriele
Muccino which was based on true story of Chris Gardner who stand firm to his dignity,
resolve, faith, and independence despite of the struggles he had been through.
Plagued by series of bad luck that include being homeless with his 5-year-old
son, Chris remained optimistic in dealing with life and all that comes with it.

4. Himala – Not all of us
want to settle in foreign films alone so I decided to include this film which
was also known for Nora Aunor’s famous line, “ Walang himala! Ang himala
ay nasa puso ng bawat tao”. Nora Aunor
portray the character of Elsa who claimed to have seen the blessed Virgin
Mary and who has endowed her with healing powers. It was directed by Ishmael
Bernal.
5. Sa’yo lamang – Filipinos are
known for being family-oriented people, thus this film of Laurice Guillen tackles the values and
issues evolving within the family. This is a perfect movie to watch together
with the whole family.
